Proposition B was defeated and I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who helped. I want to especially thank those City Employees who took leaves of absence to work on the “No on B” Campaign. Those employees truly recognized the Proposition B for what it was and would do and they committed their lost time to protect all actives and retirees.

The Campaign against proposition B is in full swing. I would like to thank all those who have volunteered to walk precincts, work phone banks and address groups. A special thank you goes out to the miscellaneous City employees who have volunteered to go on “lost time” and work fulltime on the campaign. Now that is commitment!!!...Think of them every time you look at your paycheck because they are the front line that is fighting to protect that check while losing retirement time…

The Silver Lining to the Crime Lab scandal is that we may end up with a state of the art, well funded, well staffed lab that will efficiently provide the forensics that will send more criminals to jail and clear the innocent.
