The POA and SFPD family was greatly saddened upon the news that on-duty SFPD Officer Stuart Molver died suddenly while on the job at San Francisco International Airport. He was just 53.
Officer Molver joined the SFPD in 1993 following an honorable 14-year career in the United States Army. As a combat helicopter flight medic, he participated in the first Gulf War. He was also distinguished in the SFPD, and was a recipient of the department’s Gold Medal of Valor and Lifesaving Award for his actions in the Asiana Airline crash.
It’s the end of the year and we still have a number of police reports describing incidents involving outstanding police work that we didn’t have time to mention in the earlier columns. So here goes . . .

As far as the station donations go, Co. E is currently in the lead with an incredible $4,210 in donations! Next up is Co. F
The director of the SFO USO, Jim Pollock, wanted me to thank our members on his behalf. Jim is overwhelmed with the show of support our department is giving this program.

"Dear POA --
Thank you for remaining positive and electing to continue engagement with the communities you serve so well. Perhaps if the potential of each young person is supported by the community, their family and the communities of interest there would be less crime in our City.
There is no question that both residents of The City as well as our much-valued visitors are suffering greatly from the outrageous increase in auto burglaries. So when Officer Jose Mora and Officer Ruben Augirre of Taraval Station attended their midnight line-up they paid particular attention to the auto and suspects detailed in a Crime Bulletin as possibly being responsible for a great number of these offenses in the Sunset District. It was only 4 hours later when the officers located and stopped this particular vehicle with 2 on board.
