The San Francisco Police Department recently announced that it would be taking applications for the position of police officer . . . We now move to the offices of the SF Police Officers’ Association to eavesdrop on a call that may/may not have taken place . . .

Optimistic Police Candidate: “Yes, I was thinking about taking the test to join your Department, can you tell me something about the job?”

PAL is the Ragnar Relay’s designated charity – you can help PAL raise much needed funds!  So far 300 teams of 12 have signed up to race 190 miles from Marina Green to Calistoga, including a SFPD (team organizers Lt. Jason Fox and PAL President Rick Bruce) and a SFFD team.

The regular meeting of the Widows' and Orphans' Aid Association of the San Francisco Police Department was called to order by President Joe Garrity at 2PM in the Conference Room of Ingleside Station.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Led by President Joe Garrity.

ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: Present were President Joe Garrity, Vice President John Centurioni, Treasurer Joe Reilly, Secretary Mark Hurley, Trustees Mark McDonough, Bill Gay and Bob Mattox. Excused were Harold Vance and Matt Gardner. Also presented newly elected Treasurer John Fewer and Trustee Al Luenow.
