During the course of our careers, we sometimes forget our history.  Many things are distant memories, many things we live with every day, and we still forget.  As an example, I ask you, how many pockets do we have in our uniform pants?   The answer is 7. Two in back, 2 in front, 2 flashlight pockets on either side, and the little coin pocket right below the belt line on the right side.  I know many of you are looking for it right now.  I keep a map of the Great Lakes there in case I get lost.

Has it really been 18 years between Super Bowls here in the City of Saint Francis? Hard to believe but our Forty Niners claimed their 5th Super Bowl victory (against no losses) after a posting league best 13-3 regular ‘94 season. As it turned out, it would be Steve Young’s first and only Super Bowl Championship. A 49-26 (the score wasn’t even that close) shellacking of the San Diego Chargers at Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami. After five Super Bowl wins, the Super Bowl Parade down Market Street had almost become commonplace in San Francisco.

Paul Chignell Accepts POA Staff Position

When Steve Johnson decided to retire just weeks after Kevin Martin stepped away, I knew that losing these two great men would deal a devastating blow to our legal defense team. For years, Steve and Kevin had represented our officers through every phase of the disciplinary process. My initial thoughts were that both of these veteran rep’s would be nearly impossible to replace.
