SFPOA President Disappointed with Indictments

February 27, 2014

San Francisco Police Officers Association President, Martin Halloran today expressed disappointment at the indictment of the current San Francisco Police Officers by a Federal Grand Jury.

“After nearly 3 years of various Federal Grand juries investigating a handful of San Francisco Police Officers, five current officers have been indicted.

These indictments are apparently based on the questionable testimony of unreliable informant witnesses. However, we do understand that these are nonetheless serious charges.  It is important to remember that the accused officers will have their day in court since Federal Grand juries only hear one side of the story.

These are veteran officers with over 77 years of dedication to the people of San Francisco with outstanding records.

The San Francisco Police Officers Association is anxious for their full story to be told and hope the judicial process is swift and fair”, said Halloran.
